How to get your home list ready!
Updated: Mar 4
The current sellers market has many of you considering selling your home, but you might be wondering where to begin. I recommend starting the process as soon as possible, even if you aren't sure when you might sell, it never hurts to be prepared. BONUS you might fall in love with your home all over again after following these steps.
1. Declutter, declutter, declutter! This is the most important step you can take towards making your home look it's best (AKA super desirable to potential buyers.)
BONUS this will also help you get ready to move - the less stuff to pack and move the better, right?!
2. Tackle those DIY projects you have been putting off. I'm sure you have a to do list with minor projects and repairs that need to be done around your home. Set aside some time to get these projects checked off the list! While you're at it make sure you don't have any burnt out lightbulbs - potential buyers will want to see that all light fixtures are in working order.
BONUS you will get major brownie points for getting these projects done!
3. Do a deep clean. Potential buyers are drawn to homes that look fresh and clean. The cleanliness of your home will make or break their first impression. A messy home can send the wrong message - that the home hasn't been well cared for and maintained. While you're at it be sure to take a Magic Eraser to the walls and baseboards to remove any unsightly scuffs.
BONUS you can't beat the feeling of relaxing in a super clean and fresh home!
After following these steps potential buyers will love your home as much as you do!
